Anthony Malbrecht Physiotherapist

Anthony has been working as a Physiotherapist in Kelowna since 2022. He earned a Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Western University.

Driven by a commitment to continuous learning, Anthony has pursued extensive post-graduate training in several specialized areas, including:

• Management of acute and chronic concussion

• Vestibular/vertigo disorders

• Dry needling (IMS)

• Upper/Lower Extremity Myofascial Release

• Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Manual Therapy

Anthony utilizes these advanced techniques, combined with a thorough assessment, to improve neuro-muscular function and effectively reduce pain. This approach allows for comfortable and targeted exercise therapy, empowering individuals to return to work, sport, and their cherished recreational activities.

Drawing on his experience as an athletic trainer with both elite and recreational athletes, Anthony has worked with individuals competing in the NBA, NCAA Division I basketball, the Canadian Hockey League, U Sports Varsity Hockey, and various local sports leagues. His primary focus and passion lie in helping clients enhance their movement and overall well-being in both recreational and workplace environments.

Originally from London, Ontario, Anthony now embraces the Okanagan lifestyle. In his leisure time, you can find him on the golf course, exploring hiking trails, or diligently training for his next triathlon or marathon.

Michael Choinière Physiotherapist

Michael is a Physical Therapist practicing in Kelowna who recently relocated from Ontario. A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Michael’s clinical approach is built on the foundation of thorough, comprehensive assessment. He prioritizes taking the time to understand the root causes of physical dysfunction, ensuring that every treatment plan is evidence-informed and grounded in a patient's specific goals.

Michael's highly-individualized exercise and movement programs are designed to restore function, improve resilience, and support long-term recovery. These programs are enhanced by soft tissue work, manual therapy, functional electrical stimulation, and dry needling in order to optimize recovery and manage pain.

His clinical experience includes serving as the primary therapist for a Junior A Hockey League team, where he managed acute sport injuries, concussion protocols, and return-to-play transitions. In addition to sport-related care, he has experience in post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, cardiopulmonary disorders, and geriatric care.

Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC), Michael is pleased to offer physiotherapy services to the Kelowna community in both English and French.
